Getting to Stockholm
Stockholm has multiple airports. For international flights we would advise flying to Arlanda airport (ARN), 40km from the centre.
There are daily flights from
London
Birmingham
Manchester
For our Canadian guests:
There are direct flights from Toronto to Stockholm, or
there are direct flights from Calgary and Vancouver to Copenhagen if you would like to make a trip of it!
From the airport there are multiple methods of getting into the centre:
- Arlanda express train: departs every 10mins, taking 18minutes to the centre (*our recommendation, pre-booking saves money!*)
- Flygbussarna Airport Coaches: departs every 15-30minutes, taking 30-45 minutes
- Commuter train: departs twice an hour, taking 43 minutes
Walking:
Many of the main attractions are surprisingly close together.
For example, you can easily walk between:
-
Gamla Stan
-
Royal Palace
-
Parliament
-
Waterfront
-
Södermalm (via a bridge)

Getting around Stockholm
Stockholm is a very easy city to navigate through their extensive public transport options.
The city's buses, metro, trams, commuter trains and many ferries all use the same ticket system.
SL Travel card:
-
75-minute ticket
-
24-hour pass
-
72-hour pass – great for a long weekend.
-
7-day pass – best if you're staying longer.
These can be purchased on the "SL Journey planner and ticket" app, or a physical card can be bought directly at a metro station.
Contactless bank cards may also be used at metro/tram stops for single journeys
Further information regarding getting around Stockholm can be found here.
Getting to the venue
Rosendals Trädgård is a beautiful garden venue, a true hidden gem in Stockholm, nestled within a park, Djurgården. For this reason we would advise against driving to the location, and utilise the great public transport options available.
If you were considering a taxi, Stockholm is a small city taking only around 20-30 minutes to cross the city by car.
Our most scenic recommendation:
From T-Centralen, take the metro 14, to Östermalmstorg, walk (2min) to Nybroplan to hop on the old overground tram number 7, to Waldemarsudde (past the Abba museum!). From here it is a 10-15 minute walk through Djurgården park to the venue.
